Healthcare registration data

What the CQC register says, before anyone else reads it

We track the Care Quality Commission register for England and report what changed. Not a directory of who exists, a record of what moved this week.

Where the data comes from

Two sources, deliberately. The monthly HSCA Active Locations file is the baseline: 122 columns covering every registered location in England, including the nominated individual and the service user bands that nothing else publishes. On top of that sits the CQC changes API, which carries fuller registered-manager names and moves daily. Neither alone is enough. The bulk file is complete but stale; the API is current but partial.

What a record contains

Location and provider
The legal entity and the site it operates, which are frequently not the same address.
Registered manager
Named on the register for most services, and the person actually accountable for the site.
Regulated activities
What the service is permitted to do, which constrains who it has to employ.
Service user bands
Who the service is registered to care for. Published in the bulk file only.

Contacting us, and not hearing from us

We work only from published UK public records and lawfully accessible business information. Suppression is permanent and applies across every campaign, brand and sending domain we operate, not only the one that contacted you.
